Donald was the first of the 4th generation of Chins to grow up in America. He was the delight of everyone when he was first born in China. His grandmother doted over him as a toddler as he brought much joy and happiness to the family.
We are proud that he had become a caring selfless leader in keeping the many generations of the family together. His cousins will always look up to him as the "big brother" and as a kind and caring nephew by his uncle and aunt. He will always be in our hearts and we will miss him dearly.

In my generation, Donald was our oldest cousin. As a teenager, I remembered when he worked with my Dad at the South Sea restaurant. I also remembered playing football with Donald, smiling at his jokes, and listening to his outlook on life. Donald was always a hands-on guy when he helped remodel the restaurant. My Dad always respected and loved Donald and I knew the feelings were mutual. Later in life despite growing apart in distance and having my own family, I still stayed in touch with him. It's no secret that my wife Amanda and I had introduced Lily to Donald so many years ago. We often visited both of them when we were in town coming from Dallas. They also visited us on occasion too here in Texas.
I will really miss him but I know someday I will see him again in heaven with my Dad and all the others whom I have loved and known. Rest in peace Donald.
