YEE (Hui), Katherine H.

Age 88, of Brighton, MA, passed away on March 6, 2022. Katherine was the devoted wife of the late Stephen Y. Yee, who predeceased her in February 2001. Beloved mother to Howell S. Yee and wife Ai-Hoa Sanh of San Diego, CA, Charles S. Yee and wife Wendy H. Yee and children Bennett and Elliott of Southborough, Albert S. Yee of Stratford, CT, Helen K.Y. Gee and husband Marvin D. Gee and children Matthew and Meredith of Westwood and Melba Y. Chin and husband Mark F. Chin and children Connor, Lindsey and Zoe of Lexington. Dear sister of Hui Wai Chun of Hong Kong and aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Born in 1934 in Guangzhou, China, Katherine graduated as a nurse from the Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou. She immigrated to Boston in 1962 and worked for many years as a seamstress followed by a long career at Boston Scientific on the assembly floor.

In addition to relishing the time spent with her family and caring for their needs, she enjoyed taking leisurely walks, was an avid fan of Chinese TV shows, cooking, sewing, and gardening. We cherish our precious time with Mom and will miss her love for us all.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 19th, from 9:00 – 10:30 AM, followed by a time of remembrance at 10:30 AM at the Wing Fook Funeral Home, 13 Gerard Street, Boston, MA 02119. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery will be private.
