Bik Sim Yee, 95, of Boston, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, George L. Yee, Bik Sim lived a long and meaningful life full of love, tradition, and joy. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, laughing over games of mah jong or playing cards. She especially loved holidays and Chinese New Year, when her tiny ninth-floor Chinatown apartment overlooked the dragon dances and filled with the smells of delicious food and coffee, the lively sounds of conversation, and kids running and playing in the hallway. Her home was always a place where stories were shared, traditions were honored, and love was at the center of it all.

She leaves behind a large and devoted family, including her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and so many others whose lives she touched. Bik Sim’s kindness, strength, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she lived a long and joyful life, and that her love, laughter, and traditions will carry on through the generations.

Burial Service: Friday, August 22, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at Mount Hope Cemetery, 355 Walk Hill St, Boston, MA 02131.
