It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Wai Chun Lee, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend, who left us on September 4, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by his family.
Wai Chun enjoyed traveling, tending to his vegetable garden, going to dim sum, cooking delicious meals for his loved ones, and tinkering with gadgets. One of his greatest joys was fixing his grandson’s toys, happily replacing batteries and making things work again whenever his little helper came calling, “Yeye!” (Grandpa).
Family and friends were everything to him, and he showed his love through action — by cooking and sharing food, offering a helping hand, or fixing whatever needed fixing. He always made sure the people around him were cared for.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa Lee; his children, Rebecca Lee and her husband DaHan Liao, Benjamin Lee and his wife Lily Lee, and Edmund Lee and his wife Meixia Lin Lee; and his treasured grandson, David Lee. He is also survived by his brothers, Wai Cheung Lee of Hong Kong and Kam Sing Lee of China; his god-sister Connie Tam and her husband Peter Tam; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and nieces, and great-grandnephews and nieces.
Wai Chun will be remembered for his heart of gold, his courage and strength, and his unwavering love for family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
