In Loving Memory of Yuk Ying Chung Chau (1934–2025)

Yuk Ying Chung Chau, beloved mother, grandmother, and matriarch of the Chau family, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at the age of 91.

Born in Toishan, China, Yuk Ying later immigrated to Hong Kong, where she met her love, Chun Chau. They married when she was 24 and began building a life rooted in perseverance, devotion, and deep family love.

With hopes of creating greater opportunity for their children, Yuk Ying and Chun immigrated to the United States and settled in Boston. There, she worked for many years in Boston’s garment district, where she was known for her diligence, resilience, and unwavering commitment to caring for her family. She retired in 2000, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and quiet strength.

Above all, Yuk Ying was a devoted mother and a proud grandmother. Her life was defined by love, sacrifice, and steady care —values that will continue to live on through her family.

She is survived by her four children: David W. Chau, Peter Chau, Susan Chau, and Wel Chau, and her 10 cherished grandchildren: Alex, Rachel, Emily, Lexi, Dylan, Trinity, Ethan, Alana, Jax, and Arden.

A funeral service will be held at Wing Fook Funeral Home in Boston, MA, on December 27 from 9:00–11:00 AM.

Yuk Ying will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
