Kuo-Wei Fang, 70, of Westwood, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, after a

courageous journey with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Though his final years were marked by

significant challenges, those who loved him will always remember his quiet smile, gentle spirit, and the

warmth he brought to those around him.

Born in Indonesia and raised in Taiwan from the age of five, Kuo-Wei studied electrical repair at a trade

school and completed his military service before immigrating to the United States with his family in August

1989. He went on to open one of Boston’s earliest Taiwanese restaurants on renowned Newbury Street,

where he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.

Kuo-Wei had a deep compassion for animals and was known for rescuing and caring for injured creatures

of all kinds. Nature served as his escape, and he loved fishing. He also loved swimming and going to the

movies to relax. His gentle nature, kindness, patience, and quiet strength will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Aalita Fang, Han Fang, and Yeu-Farn “Jay” Fang; his sons-in-law, Kristoffer

Keith Sebello and Theodore Eng; his grandchildren, Kaiden Sebello, Kaius Sebello, Adeline Eng, and Evelyn

Eng; and his many siblings.

He is deeply missed beyond words, and his absence is felt in every quiet moment. His family cherishes the

memories of their time together—especially their travels—and takes comfort in knowing he is at peace.

A viewing will be held at Wing Fook Funeral Home in Boston on April 3, 2026.

居住於麻薩諸塞州韋斯特伍德（Westwood）的方國威先生，在勇敢面對帕金森

氏症與失智症的病痛後，於2026年3月21日安詳辭世，享壽70歲。儘管他生命的

最後幾年充滿了艱辛與挑戰，但他恬靜的笑容、溫和的性情，以及他帶給周圍

人們的溫暖，將永存我們心中。

國威出生於印尼，五歲起在台灣成長。他曾在職業學校學習電機維修，完成兵

役後，於1989年8月舉家移民美國。此後，他在波士頓著名的紐伯里街

（Newbury Street）開設了當地最早的台灣餐廳之一，為撫育家人而不辭辛勞地

勤懇工作。

他對動物有著深厚的悲憫之心，眾所皆知他常參與救援動物及悉心照料各種受

傷的動物。大自然是他心靈的避風港，他極為熱愛釣魚，也喜歡藉由游泳和看

電影來放鬆身心。他的溫和、善良、耐心與沉靜的力量，將會被我們深深懷念

。

他的遺屬包括：

 孫輩：方永昇、方永傑、方思美與方甜鈺。

 手足：方國輝、方國定、方慧婷、方慧敏與方慧玲。

我們對他的思念非言語所能表達，夜深人靜時，都能感受到他的離去所遺留的

空缺。他的家人將永遠珍藏與他共度的美好時光，特別是全家一同旅行的珍貴

回憶。雖然不捨，但我們為他已獲得安詳的平靜感到寬慰。

遺容瞻仰儀式將於2026年4月3日在波士頓的永福殯儀館（Wing Fook Funeral

Home）舉行。
