Mrs. Yu War Wing (梅陳月華)of Boston, MA passed peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026

following a courageous battle against various health challenges over the last few years. She was

the widow of the late Walter O. Wing of Boston, and survived by her son Stephen and his wife

Terry, daughter Gail and her husband Stephen Yu, and daughter Linda and her husband John

Wong. Also survived by grandchildren Michael Wing and wife Lily Cheng, Jesse Wing and wife

Kate Seserman, Stephanie Yu, Alex Yu, Ethan Wong and Casey Wong.

Mrs. Wing was born in Guangdong, China in 1936 and immigrated to the United States in the

late 1950’s. Throughout her amazing life, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother,

always focused on the health, well-being, and happiness of her family. She worked for many

years as a seamstress in the textile industry, and developed many strong friendships and

relationships within the Boston Chinese-speaking community. Mrs. Wing was also a proud

member of the Boston Chinese Evangelical Church and was baptized in 2019. She loved

everything about her Chinese heritage and culture, but also fully embraced the opportunities

and hope offered for her family in the United States. Although she never became fully fluent in

English, she was very persistent and continued taking English classes well into her 80’s.

Service Information:

Funeral services will be held at the Wing Fook Funeral Home at 13 Gerard Street, Boston, MA

on Saturday, May 9, 2026, starting with visitation services at 9:30am. There will be a Christian

service held prior to departure at 11am for internment at Forest Hills Cemetery. Please consider

making a donation to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or Mass. General Cancer Center in memory of Mrs. Wing in lieu of

梅女士1936年出生於中國廣東，並於1950年代末移民美國。在她勤奮的一生中，她是一

位盡責的妻子、母親與祖母，始終關注家庭的健康、福祉與幸福。她在紡織業擔任裁縫多

年，並在波士頓華語社群中建立了許多深厚的友誼與關係。梅女士也是波士頓華人福音教

會的忠誠信徒，並於2019年受洗。她熱愛中國的文化與傳統，但也完全擁抱在美國為家

人帶來的機會與希望。雖然她從未完全流利英語，但她非常堅持，直到八十多歲仍持續修

習英語課程。

葬禮服務資訊： 葬禮將於2026年5月9日星期六在波士頓Gerard街13號的永福殯儀館舉行，

瞻仰儀式於上午9：30開始。出發前上午11點將舉行基督教禮拜，安葬於森林山 (Forest
