Kim Chen Obituary

Devoted mother, loyal wife, and loving grandmother, Kim Chen of Boston,

Massachusetts, was lifted by angels to Heaven on May 29, 2026, with her children by

her side.

Kim embodied courage, resilience, and perseverance. She’s a steady force who carried

her family through life's challenges with unwavering determination. She lived with a

profound sense of duty and sacrifice.

When her children asked, “Why do you work so hard?” she would simply reply, “I need

to provide for my family. I want to make sure you have food to eat and a home to live

in.” Through her tireless work and steadfast example, she taught her children the values

of responsibility, perseverance, and gratitude. The strong foundation she built continues

to guide them and is reflected in the lives they lead today.

Kim found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved singing countryside songs and

preparing dishes from many parts of Asia. In her spare time, she tended to her

vegetable garden, watched game shows from the 1970s, and spent hours on the phone

with friends and family around the world, sharing memories and laughter.

Deeply devoted to her faith, Kim generously dedicated her time to charitable work for

the temples in the US and Asia. Her kindness and service touched many lives.

Kim is survived by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Khen Chen., and her four

children, Hugh Chen, E-Joe Chen, Jenny Chen, and Tony Chen.

Though she is no longer with us on Earth, her extraordinary legacy of love, sacrifice,

strength, and devotion lives on through them and through all who were blessed to know

her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
