Lily Hong - Tuyet Le Duong

Oct 29, 1954 – Aug 4, 2026

Tuyet Le Duong, known today as Lily Hong, passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 71.

Lily was born in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to Australia in 1975. Life brought her to the United States, where her children, Alan and Erica, were born. She made Boston her home in 1995 and spent the rest of her life in devoted service to her family, her community, and her faith.

Lily pushed her children to excel while modeling, through her own example, the importance of showing up for one’s community whenever possible. She was a devout and beloved member of St. James the Greater and St. Anthony’s Shrine. One of her great passions was flower arranging and gardening, and she joyfully volunteered her time and talent to prepare the floral arrangements for Mass at St. James.

She was an independent woman who held strong to her convictions, all the while remaining warm and caring to everyone who knew her.  She volunteered throughout the community including with the West Broadway Task Force. 

Lily was predeceased by her husband, William Duong; her brother, Hong Huu Phat; and her parents, Viec Lo Ha and Hong A Sui.

She is survived by her children, Erica Ng and Alan Yu; her grandchildren, William Ng and Adam Ng; her siblings, Hong Mai Que, Hong Tuyet Mai, Hong Tuyet Linh, Hong Huu Minh, and Hong Tuyet Thanh.

A wake will be held at Wing Fook Funeral Home, 13 Gerard St, Boston, MA, on Thursday, August 13, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Liturgical Ceremony by Father Joseph Zhang beginning at 6pm

A memorial Mass will follow on Friday, August 14, at 10:00 AM at St. James the Greater, with burial to follow.
