Obituary of Xin Hua Ye
Xin-Hua Ye, a longtime Boston resident, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2019, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Qinghua Yao. Devoted father of Yuanjian Ye of Lexington, MA and Mingqi Ye and her husband Richard Shen of Mountainside, NJ. Loving grandfather of Katherine and Kevin Ye of Lexington, MA and Eric Shen of Boston, MA.
Born in Nanping, Fujian, China, he studied medicine at National Tongji University in Shanghai, China. He was a renowned radiologist and served as the Director of Radiology at Shanghai No. 9 Hospital, a teaching hospital affiliated with Shanghai 2nd Medical University, where he was a Professor of Radiology. He had also served as the Vice President of the Shanghai Medical Society of Radiology for 10 years. After his retirement in 1994, he came to the U.S. to be close with his children. He had lived in Boston for 24 years.
His funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 23, at 3:00 PM at Wing Fook Funeral Home, 13 Gerard St, Boston, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Xin-Hua’s memory can be made to St Cecilia’s House for its residents.
