Obituary of Kenneth Ky Lam

Kenneth "Kenny" Lam, 81, Brighton, MA, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2020, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy and her husband William Yee of Newton, grandson, Nicholas Lee, and grand dog, Max. He is also survived by his brothers, David Lum and his wife Anna of Wayland, Stanley Lum and his wife Jinny of Natick, Richard Lum and his wife Florence of Canton, George Lum and his wife Wendy of Milton, his sisters, Claire Wong and her husband Thomas of Needham, Bernice SooHoo of Woburn, Sherry Woo and her husband Theodore of Natick and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Kenny was born in China and came to the US when he was a teenager. He attended the Newman Preparatory School and took a few courses at UMass Boston. He retired from the Bali Hai Restaurant in Lynnfield, MA after working there as the Manager for many years. Kenny loved singing Chinese Opera, watching old westerns and Family Feud and of course watching sports games, especially when any New England/Boston team was playing. Since he loved bartending, he also wrote a book called Popular Cocktail Drinks even though it was never published. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020, from 9:30 to 11 am at the Wing Fook Funeral Home, 13 Gerard Street, Roxbury, MA 02119, followed by interment at the Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
