Gin Sing Soohoo, 76, of Boston, MA passed away on July 6th, 2021. Gin Sing was born in Kai Ping, China and immigrated to the United States in 1978. Gin Sing and his family settled in the Greater Boston area and he worked as a chef. Along with his loving wife, he dedicated his life to providing a brighter future for their children.

During his retirement, Gin Sing developed many hobbies, with interests in reading, herbal medicine, stock market, real estate market, watching basketball games and listening to Chinese operas. Gin Sing was also very active in his later years, enjoying mahjong with friends and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Gin Sing is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Lai Yun Soohoo; three married children, Margaret Soohoo and husband Jonathan Foley of Hull, MA., Sara Soohoo and husband David Stippich of Danville, CA, Robert Soohoo and wife Maria Chan of Newton, MA., along with five grandchildren, Benjamin Foley, Maya and Ethan Stippich, Ella and Evan Soohoo.
