1945-2023

Winnie Chu of Boston, MA, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on March 21, 2023.  She was 78. Winnie was born in Hong Kong and she immigrated to the United States in 1989.  Just like many other hardworking immigrants, she worked at a restaurant in Western Mass when she first came to this country.  She loved her family and enjoyed cooking yummy Chinese and Hong Kong foods, watching Chinese Opera & Chinese drama, as well as traveling around the world after her retirement. Winnie was the beloved wife to the late Jackson Chu of Ware, MA, who passed in 2000.  She was also the devoted mother to Elsa Chu and her husband Yi Wu Lee, Jerry Chu and his wife Carol Zhou.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 10am – 2pm in the Wing Fook Funeral Home, 13 Gerald Street, Boston MA.

Grave Site Service – Thursday March 30, 2023 from 12 – 12:30pm at Aspen Grove Cemetery, Pleasant St, Ware, MA 01082

Lunch to follow Cemetery Service – 12:30pm – 2:00 pm at Teresa’s Italian Restaurant – 305 Palmer Road, Ware, MA 01082
