Lap Ki Wong was born in 1938 in Guangxi Province, China. He immigrated to the United States in the late 70s in order to take advantage of opportunities that America offered and successfully became a naturalized citizen, despite the language barrier. He spent his adult life as a tailor and a chef, and used these skills to support his family. Even in his retirement years, he never stopped using his tailoring skills to help people look their best. We remember him for the joy he had for cooking and making suits or tailoring clothing for anyone who asked for his help.
Lap Ki leaves behind his wife, Yan Chang Wong-Liu; three children, Wei Ming Wong (daughter), Vicky Wong (daughter), and Peter Wong (son); and countless relatives and friends. To pay our final respects to Lap Ki, we invite you to join our family at Wing Fook Funeral Home on Friday, May 12, beginning at 9AM. We hope you can join us in sending Lap Ki off on his final journey.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Lap Ki’s name to the National Alliance of Mental Illness here: https://namimass.org/donate/
