Obituary of Mui Sam Parng

Mui Sam Parng, age 80, of Quincy, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, at Boston Medical Center surrounded by her children, grandchildren and family.
Sam Mui devoted her life to raising her children, working many jobs to make ends meet. In her retirement years, she cooked for her children and grandchildren, making certain they had yummy food to eat. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with family.
We will all miss her presence and wit and her special fried spring rolls in our family gatherings. We will remember and celebrate her courage, dedication, and strength. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her children and family and all who knew her.
Beloved wife of Lan Lam Cheng. Devoted and loving mother of five children: Chris (Sy Kuong), Danny (Sy Senh), Edward (Sy Nam), Crystal (Sy Ha), and Samantha (Sy Mun). She is also survived by son-in-laws, daughter-in-laws, and nine grandchildren. She also leaves five younger siblings and many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Boston area, California, Spain, China, Australia, and New Zealand.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 16, from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Wing Fook Funeral Home at 13 Gerard St, Boston, MA 02119. A funeral service will take place at Wing Fook Funeral Home on Sunday, November 17th, between 6:30am and 8:00am with the procession leaving at 8:30am. Interment will follow at 10am at Central Cemetery in Randolph, 327 North St, Randolph, MA 02368.
